Mary L. Davis, 91, of St. Peters, Missouri, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born November 13, 1918 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Graboske) Quoos. Mary spent most of her married life in Reading, Pennsylvania, from 1947 to 1985. She then moved to Newport Richey, Florida and in 2006, she moved to St. Peters, Missouri. A member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Reading, Pennsylvania, Mary attended Parkway United Church of Christ in St. Louis, Missouri. She loved music, and enjoyed bird watching, cooking, baking, sewing, and crafts.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and John Russell of St. Louis, Missouri; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Susan Davis of Wisconsin and Florida, and Alan and Dee Davis of Singapore; grandchildren, Michael and Sofia Russell of Mansfield, Matthew and Theresa (Schlafly) Russell of Washington DC, Christopher Davis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Heather and Michael Watson of Tallahassee, Florida; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gabriel, and Alana Russell, all of Mansfield; sisters, Ruth Shiffman of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Margaret Wermuth of Sunnyvale, California, and Charlotte Peplinski of Wilmington, Delaware; and brother, Alan Quoos of Crown Point, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Davis in 1990; her parents; and brother, Charles Quoos.
A memorial service will be held at Parkway United Church of Christ at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 conducted by Pastor Kevin Cameron.
