Ki Chung Lee, 81, of Mansfield, passed away on March 13, 2010. He was born July 25, 1928 in Choong Nam, South Korea, to the late Lee Du Sung and Suh Zi Bun. A retired teacher, Mr. Lee took special interest in Korean and Chinese calligraphy, painting and sculpture, as well as gardening and fishing. He was a member of the Central Ohio Korean Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he had served as an elder and treasurer.
Surviving is his wife, Chung Ja Kang Lee; his son and daughter-in-law, Man Suk and Jewel Lee of Arizona; a daughter, Insook Chung of Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Inja and O Dam Kwon of California; a daughter, Heasook Chung of Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Yeasook and John Chung of Virginia; and a son, Myung Suk Lee of Virginia; his grandchildren, David Lee, Angela Lee, Aimee Lee, Elizabeth Chung, Mary (Justin) Kim, Joshua Chung, Rebecca Chung, Solomon Kwon, Mi Yeon (Jung Hee) Hong, Andrew (Gypsy) Chung, Moses Chung, Sumin Chung, Suan Chung, Suin Chung, Rebecca Lee, Richard Lee, and Jennifer Lee; one great-grandchild, Evangeline Il Shim Imoinda Chung; a brother, Ki Wan Lee of South Korea; nieces and nephews, Chan Soo Yoo, Jin Suk Lee, Un Suk Lee, Jeung Ja Lee, In Hee Lee, Yong Suk Lee, Hong Suk Lee, Gap Suk Lee, and Min Sook Lee. Preceding Mr. Lee in death were his parents; and his son-in-law, Dr. Ho Young Chung.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road with Pastor Choong Hwan officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park Monday, March 22, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.
